Jon lives in a terrible jungle world in which every creature is determined to kill him.

Yet both have the disturbing feeling that the worlds they inhabit are somehow unreal as if they are actors in some bizarre theatrical production.

Both seem compelled to visit a mysterious hill, for reasons they cannot explain.

And both encounter on their journey weird creatures which seek to frustrate their journeys.

And over all these trials hangs the unseen presence of the entity known as Korok who seems to be controlling everything.
